Sharapova chance to defend his French Open title

2012 French Open champion, Maria Sharapova, the opportunity to defend his title after defeating Victoria Azarenka in the semifinals.

The game was tight with both players chasing each other in three sets to win points for Sharapova, 6-1, 2-6, and 6-4.

The second match Grand Slam champion was briefly halted for 30 minutes because of rain after Azarenka won the second set 6-2 to level at 1-1 and game on continued into the third set.

Sharapova and Azarenka had to leave the pitch before the match resumed entering the third set.

In the final, Sharapova will meet the winner of the match between Serena Williams and Sara Errani.
